Six primary schools in the area were selected for the investigation. Two high volume air samplers were placed at one ofthe sites from 7hOOto I5hOO on school days. The filter assembly on which air particulates were collected was placed at a height of 1.45 m's above the ground. The vacuum pumps were preset to start and switch off at the selected times.
