The study took place in Inanda, KwaZulu Natal. The purpose of the study was to assess the Bhambayi community at the individual, family and community levels in terms of the provision of home-based care for people living with, and affected by AIDS; and to develop an action plan for an appropriate intervention.Item An investigation into the factors affecting underutilisation of the Phelandaba clinic labour ward by low risk pregnant women in Maputaland Northern KwaZulu-Natal(2005) Mathenjwa, Nozipho Celia HeriettaAn exploratory descriptive research design was used for this study which investigated the underutilisation of a rural clinic’s labour ward by low risk pregnant women (LRPW). The study took place in Maputaland, Northern KwaZulu-Natal. Rosenstock’s health belief model (HBM) modified by Becker et al, in 1977 was adapted as a framework for this study.
