dc.description.abstractAn exploratory descriptive research design was used for this study which investigated the underutilisation of a rural clinic’s labour ward by low risk pregnant women (LRPW). The study took place in Maputaland, Northern KwaZulu-Natal. Rosenstock’s health belief model (HBM) modified by Becker et al, in 1977 was adapted as a framework for this study.en_US
