dc.description.abstractSilica-sulfuric acid efficiently catalyzes conversion of aliphatic, substituted aromatic and hetero aromatic nitriles to their corresponding amides in good to excellent yields under reflux condition. Products obtained were purified by column chromatography method and characterized by ¹H NMR, ¹³C NMR and mass spectral analysis.en_US
