Item Enhancing entrepreneurial education in South African primary and secondary schools : perspectives from teachers in the Limpopo province(The Pedagogical University of Cracow/Uniwersytet Pedagogiczny w Krakowie, 2024) Ntsanwisi, Samuel; Simelane-Mnisi, SibongileThis study has investigated teachers' perspectives on enhancing entrepreneurial education in South African primary and secondary schools in the Limpopo Province. It has been motivated by a gap in the literature that indicated further research was needed. A sample of 101 teachers from rural and township schools employed a quantitative method. Data were collected using a Teachers’ Attitudes Towards Entrepreneurship Education questionnaire focusing on the importance of entrepreneurship education within a school context. They were analysed using the Statistical Package for the Social Sciences version 25. The study demonstrated a solid Cronbach alpha reliability score of 0.90 with satisfactory face validity. The results showed that teachers expressed a need for time, training, financial resources, physical resources for classroom use, networking opportunities and sharing best practices to successfully implement entrepreneurship education in schools. It is recommended that entrepreneurship be taught as an individual subject in schools to yield entrepreneurial-minded learners from a young age who will be innovative thinkers, problem solvers, and business-minded.Item Unveiling shadows : tracking youth disengagement from the church(Diligentia: Journal of Theology and Christian Education, 2024) Ntsanwisi, SamuelThe idea of human belief in curses poses a problem for the curse part in Psalms. Problem of misunderstanding the curses part of Psalm 83:1-19 arises among believers. Quite often, critical evaluation addresses the correct understanding of the curse part of Psalms because it contains such complex values. Critical evaluation is a part of revelation that creates ethical issues in the lives of believers. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to provide a critical evaluation to understand the curse part of Psalm amidst the phenomenon of ethical issues in the lives of believers in order to knows the purpose of a psalmist in the actualization of God's morals through this study and enrich the church's understanding of the curse part of Psalm that are rarely understood correctly.Item Societal factors impacting young Black men in South Africa(Emerald, 2023) Ntsanwisi, SamuelPurpose: This study employs the social ecology model to comprehensively explore the complex challenges young Black men face in South Africa and aims to highlight the importance of collaboration in addressing these multifaceted issues.Design/methodology/approachA multidisciplinary approach combines insights from sociology, education and the health literature with regard to government reports and academic data, and provides a holistic analysis of challenges faced by young Black men. Furthermore, it emphasises formal and informal learning, social and environmental influences and health disparities.FindingsYoung Black men in South Africa encounter complex challenges throughout their developmental journey, including limited family support, educational barriers, financial constraints, societal expectations and health disparities. Therefore, collaboration among stakeholders is essential for creating an equitable and inclusive environment that supports their development.Originality/valueThis research provides a comprehensive understanding of the challenges faced by young Black men in South Africa by emphasising the interconnectedness of informal education, economic empowerment and healthcare. Future research should focus on longitudinal studies, cultural influences and international comparisons, informing evidence-based interventions for a more equitable society.
